11/11/11
Last Friday on 11/11/11 was the fashion show collaboration between Saks Fifth Avenue, Nuovo Salon, Dior Cosmetics, and Ringling College of Art and Design. It is where we got to show the community, as well as our family and friends all of the hard work we've put into our collaborative assignment with Saks throughout the past month or so. Held at Michael's On East in Sarasota, FL our photographic work hung beside the fashion show held by Saks. With approximately 300 people in attendance, the show was a major succes, and very well received. I am so grateful that my parents were able to travel from Massachusetts to see the show. The night marked a milestone for all of us from Ringling who worked closely with Saks and that we are now all able to put on our resumes that we have worked with such a big time company within the fashion industry. Here are both of my images that were on display Friday night, both printed 24 inches by 36 inches.

Saks 5th Avenue
Throughout the semester, my fashion photography class here at Ringling has been collaborating with Saks Fifth Avenue in using their clothing and accessories for our photo shoots. All clothing for our final assignment was borrowed from the Sarasota Saks store, the makeup was done by Dior makeup artists, and the hairstyling was done by local, Nuovo salon. The theme of my entire shoot was a modernized film noire theme and environment. A week from today on 11/11/11 we're having a fashion show sponsored by Saks where each of us in the class is having two of our prints blown up 2feetx3feet to be on display that night. This image wasn't chosen for my final two, but it's one of my favorites for the shoot, so I wanted to post it first, and the ones I am using after the fashion show. Model: Samantha G

Oops
I just realized that I never uploaded the third image of the drowning series. Even though it's the last one I'm posting it actually belongs second in the series. Thanks again to my lovely model, Sarah, who was really fun to work with on this one.
