For a stereotype assignment I wanted to focus on how society tells woman they are 'supposed' to look. I took portraits of some of my friends with absolutely no makeup on and placed them next to images of themselves all dolled up. I was surprised by what a difference it made, but I think it goes to show my point of how we are all used to seeing each other nowadays

Abandoned
I've been doing a lot of work in this space and I'm completely in love with this abandoned warehouse. I shot a panorama of it just for fun, but I'll be posting all the work I've been doing here soon.

Image
This is an image I took for the narrative assignment I just posted. My teacher had me omit it for the sake of the narrative, but I still like it, so here it is.
Narrative
My latest assignment was a narrative series. Instead of verbally describing the images, I'll let the story speak for itself.

Jamie
Portrait of my classmate, Jamie.
Shot with my Nikon D600 that I got last week. I love the detail that this camera is able to capture

FineArtAmerica
I recently heard about a site called FineArtAmerica where artists can sell their artwork. I'm in the process of putting a lot of my work on here for sale, so please check it out!

Hi again
So I've been horrible and haven't uploaded ANYTHING from this past summer (and I've been shooting a LOT).
Now that I'm back at school I'm going to start posting assignments as they come and I'll try to recap on the summer a bit as well. Everything from some senior and family portrait sessions, to al my work with Panorama Magazine.
Anyways, this series here is my work from my self-portrait assignment in my Staged Photo class. We were required to do a self-portrait with the option of creating a story that people may not know about you. I showed the images as a tryptech, but I will put them in individually as well. For now I will let the story speak for itself, but expect to see a continuation of it in the near future!

Chair
Here's another shot from last night's shoot of just the environment with anyone in it. I think I may like it better than the one with people in it.
Light
This is for our "Subject is Light" assignment. I've switched my idea and concept about three times now in the past week but I've finally found one I think I'm happy with. I'm focussing now on portraits with window light and (a little) of the narrative it creates.

Mirrors
I recently wrapped up an assignment depicting people being trapped in a world on the opposite side of the mirror. My aim was to create a world beyond the mirror that was a dystopia to make it more clear as to why the subject(s) were trying to badly to get out. I had my subjects pose in a variety of ways to portray different emotions: fear, anger, hopelessness.
This is the first of the series I'm putting up because it is the most complete, more to come later though.

Jeans
Jean product shot. The advertisement portion will be coming sometime next week after a reshoot. The advertisement is kind of grungy urban, so I think this product image will fit in well with what I am envisioning for part two.

Nostalgia
The other day I got a roll of 120 film I had completely forgotten about developed to see what was even on it and found this image of my dad (left) and uncle (right) from last fathers day. We have had a tradition of getting up before the crack of dawn and riding to Laconia motorcycle week on fathers day morning every year for a while now and I like the the quality of this film shot with my Diana gives it a nostalgic quality.

Shoe Ads
The first of these images is a generic product shot, while the second one is more of an advertisement.

Archives
These are a couple of pieces I made back during freshmen year that I was reminded of today. I would really like to revisit this whole David Hockney approach sometime soon so hopefully in posting them they stay fresh in my mind to work on.
